3 Day Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Dublin City to Wexford via The Wicklow Mountains

We will start our 3 day adventure with a drive south of Dublin into the majestic Wicklow Mountains National Park. Here you will uncover the main attractions and hidden gems of 'the garden county'.  Our first stop of the day will at the stunning Lough Tay where you can soak in the panoramic mountain views. You will then continue to Glendalough where you will learn of the early Christian settlement followed by a walk into forest and by the lakes. After enjoying a traditional lunch in the mountains our journey will continue with a drive to the splendid Avoca Woolen Mills before arriving at you overnight stay in the heart of Wexford.

Day 2 - Wexford to Waterford via The South East Coast

On our second day we will continue our journey south, with our first stop at the fascinating Ferns Castle where you will learn the history of the Anglo-Norman invasion into Ireland. After this we will make our way to Enniscorthy market town where you can enjoy the excellent 1798 exhibition centre where you will learn of the drama of the 1798 rebellion before making our way to the coastal town of Wexford. Here you will take lunch before visiting the beautiful Hook Lighthouse and Kilmore quay where you will have the option of taking a boat across to the stunning Saltee Islands. You will end the day with a visit to the beautiful and atmspheric ruins of Tintern Abbey.

Overnight - Waterford 

Day 3 - Waterford to Dublin via Medieval Ireland

Our final day on our private tour of the south east of Ireland will see us take a journey into Waterford and Kilkenny. Our first stop of the day will be the excellent Dunbrody Famine Ship where you will gain a deep sense and understanding of the conditions for Irish emigrants leaving the island in the 1840's. We will then continue south into the tranquil Suir valley taking in sleepy owns such as Craignamanagh and Gowran before arriving into the Medieval heart of Ireland - Kilkenny City. Here you will have time to enjoy the sites such as Kilkenny Castle and Rothe House along the medieval mile before eventually making our way back to Dublin City where we will end our 3 day adventure.
