COVID-19 - The Coronavirus
Ensuring the safety and well being of our staff, guests and the wider general public.
We here at Little Gem would like to send you all our best wishes at this uncertain and unpredictable time. The safety of our staff, guests and the wider general public are paramount at this time. We have taken measures in accordance with the Irish government advise and we would like to issue the following statement.
LITTLE GEM TOURS - COVID-19 STATEMENT - Updated 23rd March 2020
At this uncertain time the health and safety of our guests, staff and the wider general public are paramount. As a result we have decided to relax our policy to allow each of our guests to reschedule their tour at no additional cost regardless of when your tour was due to take place. We would encourage you to take time in considering rescheduling your tour and have also amended our policy to allow you to make the decision on deferring your trip up to 14 days in advance of your tour start date. Tours should be rescheduled for any dates up to the end of 2021 however we will work with you on these dates based on individual circumstances.
We will be in contact by mail and phone with each and everyone of our booked guests to address any concerns and to explain our cancellation policy amendments in detail. Please rest assured that we will work with all of our guests at this time to ensure the fairest possible outcome for all involved.
We are a family run SME who in order to get through the current crisis are going to rely on cash flow. With this in mind, we are appealing to our guests to avail of a postponement of your trip until a future undetermined date rather than a cancellation.
However, we do understand that some guests may have no choice but to cancel their trip at this time and we have looked at amending our deposit refund policy to allow for greater flexibility with this. We ask you to please keep in mind that booking deposits are used to cover the expenses of getting your tour to the point where it is planned and confirmed with accommodation. In the past few days, we have worked closely with our accommodation suppliers, who in most cases are also family run businesses, and decided that we can amend our deposit refund policy to allow a 50% refund of the deposit payment.
